National Green Apple Day of Service

Shakira Hunt, Interior Designer and Delaware IIDA Planning Committee member joined Abeer Jazzaa, architectural designer (both of Tevebaugh Associates) to participate in the National Green Apple Day of Service.

Green Apple is a global movement created to place all students in schools where energy and resources are conserved, where students learn in clean and healthy environments, and where individuals can be inspired to dream of a brighter future.

The IIDA Pennsylvania / New Jersey / Delaware Chapter’s Delaware City Center partnered with Delcastle Technical High School to renovate the school’s design and drafting room.

Over the last two weeks the Delcastle Technical High School’s technical drafting room has been transformed by volunteers who cleaned and prepped the space for new paint, ceiling tiles, and flooring – all of which have been donated in support of the Green Apple movement.

The involvement of industry professionals, community members, and students in the transformation of this space is truly invaluable and will aid in a more vibrant and collaborative work space for students.

The official Green Apple day of service is Saturday, September 24th. Learn more about Green Apple at
